Follow topics

Sometimes what you care about is not a URL. It is a topic: a company, product, technology, research question, market, project, or anything else that can surface across many sources.

A topic follow is the higher-level model for that case.

Topic follows should

  • start from a clear topic rather than a fixed publisher;
  • discover relevant updates across multiple sources;
  • reduce duplicates and low-value repetition;
  • preserve source links so every update remains inspectable;
  • make it easy to narrow or broaden what counts as relevant.

The important distinction is simple: webpages follow a source; topics follow an interest.
